and 93 artists!

Half the artists participate the first weekend, the other half participate on the second weekend. This is a free event for the whole family.

The Open Studios Tour provides an opportunity for the public to meet local artists in their studios, learn about who the artist is and what inspires them, and to experience their creative process in the context in which it is created.

The tour includes an art giveaway, at each studio visited a stamp is provided, 10 stamps fill the Passport. Each completed Passport is entered in a drawing for a chance to win art.

Community Approach

Boise Open Studios is more than an annual art event. Our members are local professional artists who pride themselves in giving back to our community. As a non-profit 501C3 organization, BOSCO strives to educate the public about the creative process and what it takes to be a working artist.

01

As teachers

Many members generously give back to the community by teaching their creative process to both adults and the youth through workshops, private lessons, and educators for both Universities and K-12 schools.

02

As contributors

Numerous members contribute to the local art community by creating public art, and by working with their communities to create art-based events.

03

As mentors

Currently, BOSCO is working with the local universities to create an internship program, where graduating and grad students have the opportunity to be paired up with and mentored by a BOSCO artist.
