Lisa Flowers Ross

I create colorful, abstract, textile artworks using fabrics I hand-dye and stitch together. In my artwork, I am seeking to find the simple essence of a thought, scene or object; to notice things that are passed by in our busy lives or to see something in a different way. Abstraction is my attempt to simplify the world around me and to narrow the scope to what I feel is most essential, basic and necessary.
