Anne Watson Sorensen

My art radiates joy and hope, reflecting the beauty of now and the potential of what can be. Each painting is a journey--a dance of discovery and an invitation to connect. Art has been my companion on a lifelong journey in search of joy and belonging. Watercolor painting, my first love over 30 years ago, has filled my life with discovery, growth and connection. Recently, mixed media has deepened my voice, helping me express both joy and struggle. Subjects range from Idaho landscapes, cityscapes, florals, figures to abstracts. I paint in watercolor, oil and cold wax, acrylic and alcohol inks on surfaces including paper, yupo, canvas, aluminum and more! A mindset of curiosity, pondering and playing keep my creative soul alive and thriving! "I belong to me. We belong to each other." -Maya Angelou
