As an artist, I strive to honor and represent the people whom have had the courage to support us and fight for our rights, so that we may be treated fairly and equally in this world. My work incorporates the colors of the diversity flags, my work is on subjects that either stand in support of or, as diverse humans themselves, seek encouragement to feel comfortable and accepted. I call this series Liquid DEI in response to the administration’s removal of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives and policies. I have chosen to Liquify these colors to symbolize how we are all blended together in this world, and to express the belief that humans should be free to live their lives as they choose—so long as we are not causing harm to others.
Timothy Doane is an artist who is always changing and searching for the best way to express himself. He has painted, sculpted, drawn, and crafted in many forms to unleash what he is trying to portray. As a diverse man, he have always been drawn to bright colors. He had felt inspired to use the colors that represent the gay and diversity flags. Tim have been interested in presenting the flow of liquid states as a way to show the fluidity of human life. Humans are all changing and trying to find our best selves.
