Derek Hurd

I moved west as a young man from the green hills of Vermont to the rugged mountains of Montana in pursuit of a professional degree in architecture. After acquiring my masters of architecture from Montana State, my wife Danielle and I migrated south, out of the snow, to amazing Boise, Idaho. During my thesis year in 1996, I filled in a gap with an advanced level furniture design class...it changed my life. I have been designing and building custom furniture ever since. This has developed into Studio 1212, a stellar, hardworking team that ships hundreds of pieces of custom and production furniture nationwide each year.
