Rick Jenkins

ceramics

Clay entered my life at an early age. I dedicated my professional and creative life to being an arts educator and practitioner. In 2012 I retired from managing Boise City's Art Center, but am still teaching part-time, once a week, to students who keep returning and have become friends. Now, with my own kiln and studio, I've reignited my passion for making ceramic vessels and experimenting with various glazes..

I spend part of my time in my home studio located in the historic North End of Boise, Idaho; part in my beautiful backyard garden; and part in the historic mining town of Atlanta, Idaho, established in 1864.

My life is full in so many ways to a point I wish I had another lifetime to live. Creating for me will only stop when my heart stops beating.
