I am an artist currently living and working in the Boise area. I have always lived in the Pacific Northwest. I have an associate of arts degree in Fashion Design through Brooks College of Fashion and Design in 1996. I became interested in fashion illustration. I decided to pursue a career in Art.
My creative process is an intuitive journey through the use of energetic, vivid colors and playful experimentation with media and texture. My work is an expression of curiosity, and release to the muse of inspiration with an emphasis and cultural identity and energy flow. Growing up and living in the Pacific Northwest is key to my love of nature and has resulted in using materials and mediums in unconventional ways to create unique works featuring paint, ink, pastels, pencils, wax, plaster, fibers and papers, along with found objects or photography that inspires a soulful ability to relate. I believe in exploring the world through color, and texture and then interpreting it through paint, basketry, sculpture, and jewelry. It is my goal to continue promoting good energy, being colorful, inspirational, and share my experience of culture through my artwork.
