I have always loved the outdoors, those beautiful, quiet, remote places where you find the natural beauty of nature that provide inspiration for painting.
I paint mainly from photos from those places and sometimes paint onlocation to attempt to capture the true essence and colors of the scene.
After attending The Burnley School of Professional Art, a private commercial art school in Seattle, Washington, I began a 30+ year commercial art career.
I have been a professional graphic designer and commercial illustrator for over 30 years. Along with painting, I teach classes in oils, watercolor and acrylic.
My paintings have been displayed in galleries in Oregon, Idaho and Arizona. I have won awards for acrylic and watercolor paintings in art shows throughout the west.
I currently show my work at the Gallery at Finer Frames in Eagle Idaho, the Mountain House Gallery in McCall, Idaho, and the Wildflower Gallery in Sisters, Oregon.
I am a member of the Oil Painters of America, the American Impressionist Society, and Plein Air Painters of Idaho.
