I strive to give equal importance to every part of my work: the foot, the belly, the neck, the lid--it needs not only to hold visual interest but must work together as a whole. I love creating a body of work and listening to what the forms tell me, and watching as each piece grows into a new creation.
Surrounded by the captivating beauty of the northwestern United States, Erin Pietsch discoveredd a love of art through the rugged andd beautiful surroundings Idaho offered. After receiving a bachlor of art in ceramics at the University of Montana, she travelled the world before persuing a Masters in Art Education back in Idaho. Several years of teaching ceramics helped Erin realize her dream of becoming a full time ceramic artist. She currently sells her artwork nationally through juried fine art shows and galleries across the nation.
