I am a color pusher. With the tools of my trade, bought and made; folding, building, hiding, marring and marrying. The narrative of life ensues. Each line akin to a wrinkle, something that took place over time. Through an intuitive process, I communicate in waves on a panel. Each layer of paint creating a new ridge, peak, or valley derived from experiences, mistakes, and possibilities.
Lauren Kistner - In 2005 she recieved a BFA in Painting and Photography from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, Washington. She has been active in her career for over 16 years in the Treasure Valley and her paintings have been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Her artworks can be found in private and public collections across the U.S, as well as Art Source Gallery in Boise, Idaho.
