How To Resize Your Images in Photoshop

August 16, 2020 by Lisa C

Below is a video on how to resize your images for your Artist's Portfolio page. The specs are as follows:

Artist’s Portrait/Bio Image:

  • 300 x 300 pixels, RGB, JPEG, 72 dpi;
  • file names formatted as “portrait_lastname”, for example:jpg

Artists’ art images:  include five images of art, and one of your studio space

  • 1024 pixels on longest edge, RGB, 72 dpi, JPEG or JPG, OR if using Photoshop to resize use the Save For Web function (I will upload a video of how to resize to our Private Members Page or call me and I will try to help you through the steps)
  • file names formatted as ‘lastname_title.jpg’
    example: CHENEY_InTheWind.jpg
  • Featured Image: choose one of the five art images as your Featured Image, which will be used as the main image for your artist’s page, the map markers, and any other marketing needs. Title this file as ‘lastname_title_feature.jpg”
    example: CHENEY_InTheWind_feature.jpg
