Q: How is the BOSCO Open Studio Tour promoted?
A: Traditionally we promote through marketing avenues such as: Save the Date Postcards, Posters, Ads, POS printed Tour Guides, Ads - newspaper & magazine, Passports, 4 page Boise Weekly map insert, Yard Signs, Social Media, Media Releases, Email Newsletter, Website - virtual tours and Interactive Tour Map, promoted at public events (BAM, Art in the Park, Gallery Openings, Saturday Market, First Thursday, First Friday)
Q: Why am I not listed under Artists on the BOSCO web page?
A: Each year the Marketing Chair has to wait until after membership dues have been paid for the official membership list for that year (June-May). Then the Marketing Chair sends out a lengthy email to the membership, requesting ALL the specific info needed from each artist in order to update the website and to begin creating the marketing materials for the fall studio tour. The list of items are VERY specific in terms of image sizes and labeling images, bio lengths, social media links, contact info, addresses, quantities for yard signs & printed materials, etc... The Marketing Committee works throughout the summer to update the website, tour map, and designing all the Marketing materials for distribution at the September Membership meeting.
Q: When will I see my Artist Portfolio page up on the website?
A: Once the website updates begin, the focus is on new members Artist Pages first so that each of you are represented ASAP. Generally these pages start showing up in late July- mid August.
Q: Who do I contact if I have questions?
A: Please feel free to email us at BoiseOpenStudios@gmail.com. Our secretary, monitors emails and distributes them to the board member who can then respond.
Q: How can I get more involved with BOSCO:
A: All 5 of our committees (Marketing, Events, Membership, Education & Community Outreach, and Development) are always looking for help from the membership in lots of different ways. Please check out the duties of each committee to see if any skills you have may be of help (whether it be a technical skill, networking skill, hanging art, or simply handing out marketing materials). By becoming involved with the committees you feel more connected to the organization and community. Please visit our ABOUT page to learn more about each committee and who is the chairperson. https://
boiseopenstudios.com/about- bosco/ At the end of each year we hold our Board Elections for the following year. That is an excellent time to step up and be a part of growing our group.
